Master-class of organist Marek Stefanski

June 3rd, 2014 at 12.00 in Room 408 (30, Internatsionalnaya str., Minsk) will be held a master class of the organist, Professor of the Krakow Academy of Music Marek Stefanski.

Marek Stefanski is a famous Polish organist, widely recognized both at home and abroad. He graduated from Krakow Academy of Music, organ class of Professor Joachim Grubih. Awards at international festivals of spiritual organ music opened for a young musician the way to solo performances in concert halls and cathedrals around the world. In 1996 he was appointed organist at the Church of St Mary in Krakow, where in addition to playing the organ during the service he performed solo concert programs. Since 1999 he works at the Department of Organ, in the Krakow Academy of Music and is in charge of the Organ class at the Department of church music. In 2007 he defended his dissertation on the organ improvisation of the 18th -20th centuries. Actively promotes Polish music. Along with solo performances a significant place in his concert activity takes the cooperation with renowned choirs, vocalists and instrumentalists. Stefanski toured in Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Israel, USA, and Ecuador. In Russia, thanks to the invitation to Moscow and many other cities, has become one of the most popular foreign organists.
