10th Old Music Academy

In the Belarusian State Academy, almost every year, are held courses of highest performing skills, i.e. – «Old Music Academy». On March 16–20, 2014, in the Belarusian State Academy of Music will be held «10th Old Music Academy» to 300th anniversary of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach with support of the Goethe Institute in Minsk. Prominent musicians from Austria and Germany: Johann Trummer, Professor of Music and Scenic Arts of Graz, Honored Doctor of the Belarusian Academy of Music (organ, harpsichord), and Susanne Ehrhardt, Associate Professor of the University of Cottbus/Berlin (flute) will be acting as supervisors of Creative Workshops.

The Academy aims at stocking students' minds with new knowledge, increasing of their performing skills and keeping creative contacts with eminent masters of performing old music. In the previous scholastic term of the current academic year started the preparation of special repertoire toward 300th anniversary of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (Old Music Ensemble 'Bach coterie', students of the organ and harpsichord class). In the above period will be held master-classes for solo and ensemble performing which will result in the concluding concert of the participants, in the Belarusian State Academy of Music on March 20, 2014.
